Bite-Size Genealogy:  Filing Systems

Main Topic:  Sharron Simpson, Writing Memoirs

Sharron Simpson is a well-known local historian and writer. She is a descendant of the pioneer Simpson and Jennens families, with her roots in Kelowna going back to the early 1900s. Sharron has taught numerous writing courses, encouraging people to record their own stories and memories. She has written several books, including ones about Kelowna General Hospital, the local sawmill which was run for many years by her grandfather S.M. Simpson, and a comprehensive history of Kelowna and district. For a number of years, Sharron was on Kelowna City Council, always putting the needs of her beloved city at the forefront.
